Charmaine hails from Whanganui and brings over 19 years of extensive nursing experience to the Cannabis Clinic, including three years as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse Prescriber. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master of Health Sciences from the University of Auckland, and is a member of the ANZCCP. Charmaine has a diverse background in Family Medicine, with specialized clinical expertise in Pain Management, Thyroid Health, and Women’s Health.

With a deep commitment to patient-centered, individualized care, Charmaine is passionate about promoting accessible healthcare. Her primary goal is to support patients on their unique journeys to wellness with tailored pathways that respect personal preferences. For Charmaine, a true highlight of prescribing medicinal cannabis is witnessing the profound, positive health outcomes for her patients, and having the privilege to advocate for those choosing cannabis as a treatment option.

Outside of her clinical practice, Charmaine loves to travel, with a particular passion for exploring coastal destinations and beautiful beaches around the world. Closer to home, she enjoys tramping and discovering New Zealand’s spectacular Great Walks and scenery.
